The client requested this pattern (design credit to Grace Huang) to be incorporated into the website. The shape we discussed was the rhombus. I played around with several ideas that she didn't like. Being a musician myself at one time in my life, I remembered the circle of fifths in theory classes. How connecting the notes within the circle would make shapes. I developed the first piece of art (second slide below) by looking at a photo of the circle of fifths on the first slide below (first slide credit given to Musical Colors). I continued to use the shapes throughout the site in different forms.
The client's first event was quickly approaching, and there wasn't enough time for a professional photography session to capture images of her t-shirt designs. Since we were launching the site before the event, I asked her to send pictures of the designs on the actual t-shirts. I saved the images and incorporated them onto models in stock photos. Afterward, I placed the t-shirt models in the scenery of Knoxville, TN, which is the location of the business 'Hug Away Hate' and the first event.
My client requested a Fleetwood Mac album cover designed by Christie McVie to be changed into a painting for her home. The original is to the left. I used different color schemes and options of different types of painting techniques including watercolor, oil, and canvas to match her home décor. See the edits below.
My idea was to use the image on one side of a seed moss paper and about classes on the back. There will be an icon to save the contact information directly to your phone on the business card. Then you can plant the card for speckled moss! You will want to sign up for a class to make your first terrarium with it!
