User experience is the cornerstone of any successful website. It encompasses how visitors interact with and perceive your site. A well-designed website ensures that users can easily find what they're looking for, leading to higher satisfaction and increased engagement.
With the increasing use of smartphones and tablets, it's essential that your website is optimized for various screen sizes. A responsive design ensures that your site looks and functions seamlessly on all devices, providing a consistent user experience.
Search Engine Optimization also includes improving page load speed. Slow-loading pages can lead to high bounce rates, as users tend to leave if a site takes too long to load. By optimizing images, minimizing unnecessary code, and utilizing caching techniques, your website loads quickly.
A well-optimized website is more likely to rank higher in search engine results. This involves using relevant keywords, creating quality content, and adhering to SEO best practices. A higher ranking means increased visibility and more organic traffic.
User navigation is about guiding visitors through your site in an intuitive and logical manner. This involves creating a clear menu structure, providing easy-to-use navigation tools, and ensuring that important information is readily accessible.
Ultimately, the goal of your website is to convert visitors into customers or leads. Optimization techniques can be employed to improve conversion rates. This might include clear calls-to-action, strategically placed contact forms, and persuasive copywriting.
The client wanted the website to be in Ukrainian & English. I used a drop-down menu for each page in her native language. The difficult part was the dialect translation. The website instantly received traffic as soon as it launched. Forms were being filled out. After analyzing the traffic after the first year, the majority were from her Instagram account. I then connected her Instagram account to the website. The click-through rate improved after this change. We led the user to message her directly for a more personable approach.
At launch, the impressions and click-through rates were notably high, primarily due to her customer base being in Ukraine. Following the onset of the war, she relocated to the United Kingdom and successfully garnered a following in Poland and various English-speaking countries. The analytics reveal that the United States now holds the highest click rate. I recently added additional pages and restructured the site to improve her SEO. Currently, I am building a blog page to enhance SEO and link to the pillar page. Since we started the project, social media engagement has improved by 65%.
Hug Away Hate was founded with the mission to support individuals of all races, genders, belief systems, economic backgrounds, mental health conditions, and physical abilities within the community. The website is designed to be user-friendly, featuring a home page, an about page, a story page, a merchandise page, and a contact page.
The customer envisioned a light, southern, and joyful approach that avoids being overly formal. She desired a vibrant, conversational, and colorful aesthetic. To bring this vision to life, I incorporated images of people hugging and assisting one another, along with song lyrics to evoke emotions and prove the connection we have with one another. The client expressed the desire for the organization to foster connections among people. To achieve this, I proposed using impactful quotes, starting with a powerful message from Prince.
By leveraging the emotions he evoked in many during the 90s, I aimed to resonate with the organization's target audience, particularly those facing similar struggles with identity and self-acceptance. I then concluded that deep down, the audience is everyone. I added clickable links to view the videos behind the quotes to make the message powerful. I then added links for those who need help to find the right help. Also, links for those to get involved within the community, those who want to help. The message to everyone is that you are not alone.
